What happens when an idea takes physical shape? In science, surface tension is the invisible force that holds a droplet of water together—the delicate boundary where one element meets another. In contemporary art, it is the exciting friction that occurs when the flat world of painting meets the three-dimensional world of sculpture.

The tension here lives in the materials themselves. On the walls, layered canvases push the boundaries of the flat surface, pulling the viewer into worlds built from paint, narrative, and raw texture. While, physical sculptures push back, claiming their own territory and demanding that we walk around them. One medium invites you to look inward; the other forces you to navigate the physical room.
